# July 2025 **"More community gathering areas around spawn, including events."** Shortly after seeing this I started to work on writing up the Spawn theme guidelines. This was to both encourage players to build at spawn by giving some sort direction while also focusing player builds so that spawn doesn't devolve into chaos. The skyscraper area or "Megacity" District was already established as an area for players to build their skyscrapers after the build competition in the area finished, but it wasn't officially written anywhere. Hopefully these guidelines help players have a better idea of what to build near spawn. As for events around spawn. There is an upcoming plan for a build competition being worked on. While the competition will be held in the creative world, the winning build will be getting built in Survival 2 near spawn. You may have noticed some cobble being used to mark out an area within the "Farming" District at spawn, -487, 64, -125. This will be the area where the winning build will be located. The theme for this build competition has been chosen and the current plan is for it to happen sometime during September.
