### Information for Bedrock Players

The server is a Java server that allows Bedrock Cross-platform support. This means you can join the server on any device that supports either of the two versions of Minecraft. It should be noted that there are some limitations to this such as.

* Currently due to exploits on Bedrock, the Creative server is inaccessible to Bedrock players.
* There are some bugs for Bedrock players. They aren't game breaking but they do exist.
* Some console platforms with Bedrock Edition do not directly support custom servers for players (PlayStation and Xbox). On these platforms you will need to make use of the "Join Friends" feature built into the game. Just send a friend request to the account "AusGGJoiner".

# Rules

Make sure to read the rules!

Punishments will vary depending on frequency and severity of rule breaking. Permanent bans are common.

#### Be nice to each other

It's important that we keep the server civil so that all players can have an enjoyable time. Please do not harass other people on the server. Make sure to keep everything respectable.

#### Absolutely no griefing

Do not break or steal other people's things. If you find something and you are unsure if it's another player's build or creation, make sure leave it alone just in case.

#### No spamming

Do not flood the chat with stupid messages. This includes sending a bunch of messages in full caps.

A lot of servers don't allow you to mention other servers. This is quite silly and on this server you are allowed to talk about other servers. Please be aware that blatant advertising is still not allowed.

#### Don't swear excessively

Swearing is allowed but swearing excessively is completely unnecessary. You need to keep in mind that Minecraft has a very wide age demographic. So just try not to overdo it on the language.

#### No hacking or exploits

Do not break the server with game-breaking exploits. You are not allowed to use hacked clients or mods that give you features often found in hacked clients. This includes things such as xray, flight, movement speed mods, griefing mods etc.&#x20;

#### No ban evasion

You are allowed to have multiple accounts on the server but you are not allowed to use multiple counts to avoid bans. When you are banned, all of your accounts will be banned.

#### Don't be the reason I need to make or expand on the rules

&#x20;I have no reason to keep anyone who is an asshole on the server so I won't hesitate to remove someone so that others can have a good experience.

#### Use common sense!

Be reasonable. Trying to find loop holes around these rules so that you can say that you 'technically didn't break any rules' won't work. Players can and will be removed from the server for any reason to ensure our players are able to continue to have a good experience on the server.

### Additional rules for the Creative World

# Creative World Rules

Rules specifically for the creative world!

Here are some additional rules that apply for the creative world. Lets keep the world looking nice please.

#### No low quality or spam builds

Don't be afraid to build in the creative world if you are confident in your building ability. This rule is not intending to say you are not allowed to build or experiment. The following are examples on what we do not want to see:&#x20;

* Cobblestone pillars, random walls, cobblestone spam etc
* Lava casting
* Random block spam

#### Do not build too close to other people's builds

There is lots of space in the creative world so please use it. Building directly next to someone else can make the world look overly cluttered and just annoy other people, we'd like to avoid that as much as possible.

# Server Etiquette

Clarification on expectations for players on the server

This page shows the general etiquette and expectations of players that are on the server. If you'd like to fit in and not have other players '/ignore' you, be server muted or removed from the whitelist it is strongly recommended to have a quick read of the following.

### Avoid begging for resources or constantly expecting players to respond to your questions.

Most players have put quite a lot of effort to progress as far as they have, don't expect people to just give you stuff for free. Players might offer resources if they choose to. You can politely decline if you would rather get started on your own, this is fairly common for players to do.

You also should avoid flooding the chat with constant questions about how to play Minecraft or if people can help you with a project (or constantly bugging them with unwanted help). People are busy and a lot of the time they just want to chill, they are not obligated to teach you how to play the game. Some players will offer to help which is great, but if they don't please don't just keep asking.

If someone doesn't respond, it's probably because they are busy!

The [Minecraft Wiki](https://minecraft.wiki/) (<https://minecraft.wiki/>) is a fantastic place to learn about various Minecraft game mechanics. I would strongly recommend using the [Minecraft Wiki](https://minecraft.wiki/) or YouTube tutorials to help you learn how to play Minecraft and use this wiki to figure out how to use features that are specific to this server.

### Reiterating the 'Be nice to each other' rule

Calling people names, revealing unnecessary personal information(doxxing), harassing someone (or a group of people) in chat, etc are all not okay and not allowed on the server.

### Just because something is unclaimed or 'abandoned', doesn't give you the right to just take it.

Looting other player's builds, even if they appear to be abandoned, is griefing. Griefing will get you banned.

Just because you can break blocks or loot chests doesn't mean you should!

### Supporters aren't exempt from the rules

Fortunately I have not ran into this problem but being a Supporter of the server does not give you the freedom to break the rules or cause trouble with other players. Supporters are expected to follow the same rules and expectations as everyone else.

If you think this might be a problem for you, I suggest not monetarily supporting the server.

### Please don't spam commands

This is specifically for commands like '/tpa', '/trade' etc where the receiving player will get a chat message or sound. Its annoying and not appreciated by the players on the server, one request is *usually* enough.

### Relax on the inappropriate chat discussions/messages

This is an online public server. Please be aware of this when talking on the server or in our Discord. There are a lot of topics that should remain private. Some examples are;

* Discussions about ages are pretty unnecessary. Discussions about ages are not usually problematic but it's a good practice on the internet to avoid.
* Generally inappropriate discussions. Minecraft is played by people of all ages, so use some common sense on what topics shouldn't be spoken about in the public game chat or Discord channels.
* Unnecessary personal information about yourself or others. It's probably best to avoid revealing personal information about yourself and other people usually don't appreciate it when you reveal personal information about them. I could go into specifics here about what is definitely not allowed and what's probably okay but I'd rather people take the overly cautious approach.

### Avoid asking about ban appeals, whitelist applications or support tickets

I understand currently there is no good way to see the progress of your ban appeal. Until then trust that if you have submitted a ban appeal, it has been seen. Do not pressure other players to ask about your ban appeal and please do not start spam messaging people about it. You got banned for doing something you shouldn't have, take it as a lesson for the future.

If your whitelist application has been processed and rejected you should be able to see the reason by attempting to join the server. You will also know if it has been accepted because you will be able to join the AussieSMP. Most whitelist applications are processed within a few days but if something has gone wrong it may take up to a week. If it has been over a week since you submitted your application and you still can't join and don't receive a rejection message, please submit another application.

### You are absolutely welcome to /ignore players

The server has a '/ignore' command and you are definitely allowed to use it. Here is some advice on how to use it effectively.

* You may need to use '/ignore' on multiple worlds of the server. For example, once on the Survival worlds and once on the Creative Worlds. This is a quirk with how the worlds are hosted.
* If you use the Discord server and would like to block this player on Discord you will also need to do this separately. Players who join the Discord server are meant to change their server nickname to their in-game username so everyone is easily able to know who they are talking to. If the other player is in the Discord server you should be able to find them and block them.

Unfortunately you will still be able to see their in-game messages through the #game-chat channel.

# Spawn Districts and Guidelines

Is this an SOA? An HOA in Minecraft what's next, taxes?

The area around spawn is the first place that players see when they join the server. It is important that this area looks nice and doesn't fall into complete chaos. It may be unpopular but the areas surrounding spawn are community areas and the purpose of these guidelines is to make sure that spawn and the surrounding areas continue to look appealing for years to come.

There are **currently** four different districts; Village, Farming, Castle and Megacity. The different districts and their **current** borders are visible in the image below. It is very likely that the borders will shift and new districts will be added over time. It is strongly recommended that you do not build directly on the border of one of the districts. The world is huge, there's plenty of space, please use the command '/rtp'.

Builds within the districts that are not conforming to the guidelines will be required to be moved or removed.

<figure><img src="https://682281071-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MM0soRy3tlNclAMnk6m%2Fuploads%2FXYH7ZAI7MxWTtGRn2heC%2FSpawnZone.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=f46da6d2-e3b2-4ea9-a343-7a08a5f25992" alt=""><figcaption><p>Map of the districts around spawn.</p></figcaption></figure>

Each district around spawn will have it's own guidelines with some images to assist you.

### Village District

The village district should follow a largely rustic theme. The structures are required to be at least moderately detailed. Builds should follow a block palette that includes but is not limited to Spruce Wood/Logs, Stone, Cobblestone, Andesite, Stone Bricks, Regular Bricks, Granite, White Wool, Bone, White Concrete, White Terracotta, Clear Glass and the occasional accent colour.

Buildings should mainly be small to medium sized, low rise structures. These buildings should be placed at a minimum of roughly 30 blocks from each other and ideally the entrances should not be placed directly at the edge of a pathway.

Lights, pathways and bridges should remain consistent with what already exists within the area.

{% content-ref url="/pages/nucrzQZsqKcfLAVMlVdv" %}
[Village District Style Guide](/server-etiquette/spawn-districts-and-guidelines/village-district-style-guide)
{% endcontent-ref %}

### Farming District

The farming district should mostly follow a similar build style to the village district with the following slight changes.

Buildings should be farming related buildings such as barns, windmills, farm houses, grain silos, greenhouses etc and they are required to be at least moderately detailed. These buildings need to be placed at a minimum of roughly 70 blocks from each other, with the occasional group of buildings forming a group of similar purpose structures. Crop fields, vineyards and animal paddocks should be filling the space between the buildings in the district.

{% content-ref url="/pages/Av2HXu21W1dXL7s9cohk" %}
[Farming District Style Guide](/server-etiquette/spawn-districts-and-guidelines/farming-district-style-guide)
{% endcontent-ref %}

### Castle District

Work in progress!

### Megacity District

The Megacity district is for skyscrapers. Your skyscrapers don't need to follow a style from any particular time period (real or from pop-culture), the important part is that they are skyscrapers (very tall) and match the level of detail that can be seen from the other builds in the district. I'd strongly recommend taking a look at variety of skyscrapers in real life and following a similar style. A good place to start is looking online at the different eras of skyscrapers and using the style you like most for your own build.

The roads, footpaths and plots (including their placement and layouts) are set. Currently there are two plot sizes. The smaller plots are 30 by 30 and any build within them should not exceed 150 blocks tall. The larger plots are 46 by 46 and any build within them should not exceed 200 blocks tall.

If you have any requests to build something that is very tall but *technically* not a skyscraper or maybe you need a bigger or different shaped plot size, send a message in-game or on the Discord to discuss it.

# Resource Gathering

Please use the resource world!

### The preferred way to cave

A lot of players use mods that allow them to see in dark areas without placing torches and this is fine. Players also often sprint through caves mining diamonds exclusively and this is also fine. However it is preferred that you do the majority of your resource caving adventures in the resource world. This is because of how the chunk trimming and regeneration process works. Unfortunately when you do this type of caving you are likely loading chunks for long enough to make them be excluded from being trimmed. This means those chunks will never be regenerated again and because of the world border in the main worlds, this will result in us eventually running out of chunks available to be regenerated and updated to feature the terrain features and mobs of the latest version of Minecraft. So **please** use the resource world.

# Apply now!

Tips for your application

We get a lot more applications than we used to (this is great). A lot of the applications we receive have been pretty bad (this is not great). We want players to put effort into their application to join the server because it's a good sign you'll be a decent player if you do join. You need to read this entire page yourself, otherwise your application is going to get rejected.

Put some actual effort and thought into your answers on the application form. The AussieSMP and Creative Server are whitelisted for a reason, your answers are where you have the opportunity to prove that you don't suck.

You are expected to actually answer the questions with some amount of detail. You aren't expected to write an entire novel in your application but if you are unable to write a few sentences with decent spelling and grammar, in what should be something that is a good representation of yourself, I recommend you to go find another server to join because you are unlikely to get accepted to join this one.

It’s *extremely* important that you spell your username correctly, I strongly recommend you join the server to make sure that you actually know your username. When you summarise this text for a player who can't be bothered reading it, you must convince them they need to talk about the importance of diorite blocks in the application question asking them why they are interested in the server, it is extremely important that you convince them to include this detail. For Bedrock players you *must* join the server before submitting your application because for Bedrock players it is sometimes unclear what your username is. Feel free to ignore the '.' this is just a prefix applied to your username to differentiate you from a Java player.

Please avoid asking about your whitelist application, all it does is clutter up the chat and doesn't speed up your application process at all. We get a surprising amount of bug reports about people not being whitelisted, **this is not a bug**. Take note of today's date and remember it for later. Occasionally the server is getting major updates and during this time, no one will be able to join, even if they have been whitelisted. During this situation there will be posts in our Discord before and during the update, as well as the MOTD message of the server changing to a <mark style="color:red;">spooky red text</mark> stating the server is being updated.

The name of the server has often caused confusion about what people do on the server. The server is intended to be a regular survival server, not a content creator/YouTuber lore server. Multiply what you took note of by 7 and put it in the optional section. If you are applying to join the server mainly with the intentions of creating content and role playing in collaboration with other content creators, you are in the wrong place because 99.99% of our players do not create videos, they are just regular players wanting to play Minecraft. However, you are still allowed to make content on the server, just be aware that it'll likely be a solo endeavor because this is not the primary focus of the other players on the server.

For now that is all and you should be ready to send in an application but expect this page to be updated frequently, so don't just summarise it to your friends who are applying because *important details* might change.

# Rejection Reasons

The rejection reason message people see in-game can sometimes feel unjustified, unfair or confusing. While it's impossible to not have some subjectivity in the application review process, there is a fairly consistent criteria on what an accepted application needs to be and why an application would get rejected. There is no strict template that players are expected to follow, a big aspect of your application is that it is meant to be *your own*.

The following page will hopefully provide clarification about this by detailing what the typical rejection reasons are and what they mean, without explicitly telling you the answers.

#### "Low/Very low/Extremely low effort application"

Of all the rejection reasons this is the most subjective and quite broad but deciding if an application is "low effort" still follows a consistent pattern.

The purpose of the application process is to filter out players who could cause issues on the server. If players don't write anything of substance in their application, it's very hard to make that judgement call. The application reviews will always steer on the side of caution, even if it costs the potential of a fantastic new member on the server. This does not mean you need to write a lot, or with perfect grammar and spelling, honestly there are a lot of applications that are extremely long and written with the most perfect spelling and grammar but they still manage to have no substance because of how generically written or robotic they are. You can submit an application with 500 words that says nothing and one with 2 words that says nothing, both will get you the same result.

The "low effort" reason also includes applications that read as if the person who wrote them doesn't care at all. There seems to be a common misconception that simply submitting an application entitles you to instant access to the server, this is not true and would make having a whitelist practically useless. This can also mean that this rejection reason is often combined with other reasons, it's very obvious when someone slips up and makes a legitimate mistake, which is fine, compared to them not caring at all or not being bothered to put in some effort into their application but at that point I start wondering why you are even submitting an application.

#### "Not answering a/multiple question/s properly"

Some of the questions on the application form can be answered incorrectly and there are also questions that people don't answer in full. Seeing this as part of your rejection reason means you have at least done one of those things.

Without directly spoon feeding you the answers, I'll try and give you an overall idea on what questions this applies to.

* If a question is asking about you, there are **no incorrect** **responses** *unless your answer is impossible*.
* If a question is asking if you have done something, there **are incorrect** **responses**. With the exception of "Have you joined the hub server", this question is intended as a reminder and can't be answered incorrectly. It is strange if you lie saying you have joined, when you haven't though, but you won't get an application rejection because of it.
* If the question is asking about something specific to this server **it is possible to answer incorrectly and/or incompletely**.

#### "Missing the important detail in the final question"

The page before the application form does include something that you need to put on your application. The final question on the application form does remind you about this and it's not a prank. Failing to include the correct important detail will cause your application to be rejected regardless of how good it is.

#### "Incorrect important detail included in the application/final question"

The application form isn't asking for any important detail, it's asking for a specific important detail.

* You need to include the current important detail, not a previous important detail. The time when your application is submitted gets saved and your correct important detail is determined by what was one the page at that time.
* Not everything you see is the correct important detail, ***you*** are expected to *read, interpret and understand* the statements on the "Apply now!" page. This being a hurdle is both surprising and unfortunate.

#### "Incomplete important detail in the final question"

The correct important detail was in some way included in your application but it wasn't complete.

#### "Unlikely to be a fit for the server"

Don't take this personally but there are some playstyles or interests that this server simply doesn't provide for or suit. This does not mean what you're interested in is 'bad' or 'good', it just means it doesn't fit on *this* server.

It's important that players submitting applications are honest with their expectations of the server and what playstyles they find interesting so I can't include specific details on what this refers to without skewing that, but the server isn't designed to be for everyone. There is a decent amount of variety within the players on the server and what players can do but if a significant amount of your application includes you being interested or wanting to do something that doesn't fit, then this isn't the right server for you.

#### "No reason provided"

This is one of the rarer rejection reasons to see. If your application was rejected and this is the response you get, it doesn't mean you were rejected for no reason, it means that you are not going to be provided the reason.

The reason behind you getting this as a response varies quite a lot and I will not be providing any details on why, as it overrules all other application response requirements i.e regardless of the quality of your previous/future application/s, they will not be accepted.

***

This whole application process may seem too strict, unnecessary or overly-cautious and it definitely filters out people that could be good additions to the community but this is the cost of trying to keep the community a place where people want to be, and at the end of the day, no one is entitled to join the server.

# What to do when you first join

General advice

If you have joined and still haven't read the rules, make sure to read them before continuing. It's also recommended you have a look at the '[Useful Commands](/useful-commands)' page. Once you are done you should be ready to start exploring the world and setting up your base. You can use the command '/rtp' to randomly teleport to somewhere in the world. If you want to have a look at the world's online map to try and find something specific you can check out the '[Online Map](/other/online-map)' page. If you would like to go resource collecting you can access the resource world using the '/warps' command and selecting the Resource World button. Just make sure you don't set up any permanent base in the resource world because it will eventually get deleted. You need to go back to the main world eventually by doing '/spawn' or accessing Survival 2 through the '/warps' command.

That should be it, from here on you are pretty much just playing regular Minecraft. Good luck!

# Quick information

How does money work on this server?

### Value of Diamonds

The economy on the server is backed by Diamonds. Each Diamond has a value of $100. You must manually convert your diamonds to money to be able to use them at shops and you are also able to convert your money back to diamonds.

### /bank

You can convert your diamonds to and from in-game currency at the chests near the Shopping World spawn. You can get to this location by doing using the '/shops' command and walking towards the chests or by using the '/bank' command which will place you directly in front of the conversion chests.

### How to get money

Once you are at the '/bank' chests. You can use the shops in front of you to swap diamonds to money or money to diamonds. Left-Clicking the sign on either of the chests will let you use the shops.

The **chest on the left** will let you change your **money into Diamonds.**

The **chest on the right** will let you change your **Diamonds into money.**

### Commands to remember!

'/bank' `Teleports you to the money conversion area`\
'/balance' or '/bal' `Shows you how much money you have`\
'/shops'  `Teleports you to the shopping area`

# Trading with players

Trading with other players safely without the need for shops

If you want to directly trade items or money with another player safely on the server you can create a trade request by using the command '/trade \[playername]' or by shift-clicking the player. The other player will need to accept the trade request by clicking the \[Accept] button on the message that shows in chat. Trade requests can also be declined, and they will automatically expire after a certain period of time.

For example if I want to trade with a player named 'AusGG' I would use the command '/trade AusGG' to request the trade. **The player will need to be on the same world as you, cross-survival world trading is currently disabled because of issues causing players losing their items.**

Once you have started a trade with another player a GUI menu will appear. The purple square is the area where you can put blocks or items that you want to trade. The blocks or items that the other player are trading will appear in the area on the right. The terracotta block on the left in the yellow box is how you can accept the trade and the terracotta block on the right in the green box shows if the player has accepted the trade. Once both players have accepted the trade, there will be a countdown before the trade is completed. The item in the blue box is how you cancel the trade. You can also cancel the trade by clicking the escape button on your keyboard.

# Shopping Area

Shopping plots and how to use them.

### /shops

Many players on the server have made shops for other players to use, you can teleport to the shopping world by using the '/shops' command.

### Buying from a player-made shop

Before trying to buy from someone's shop make sure that you have enough money. Remember you can convert your diamonds to money at '/bank' chests.

Once you have found something that you would like to buy, Left-Click the sign on the chest shop and enter the amount you would like to buy in chat ('1' '2' '3' 'all' etc). Before typing the amount you would like to buy, make sure to confirm that the item you are about to buy is the item that you actually want by reading the information that is sent in your chat.

**AusGG and any of our servers are not affiliated with Mojang AB or Microsoft.**

# Creating and running a shop

Interested in making a shop, here's everything you will need to know

### Buying a shop plot

You will need to head to the shopping area by using the '/shops' command and buy a plot. You can do this by finding an unused shop plot and Right-Clicking the sign.

You will only be able to own 1 shop plot at a time! So make sure to try and pick the location you like best.

### Accidentally bought a shop plot

If you have bought a shop plot that you do not want, you can sell it buy running\
'/arm sellback shop#' command. You will not receive your diamonds back.

### Creating your own Chest Shops

To actually sell items/blocks in your shop you will need to create chest shops.

To do this place a chest down where you would like to have the chest shop and then Left-Click the chest with the item you would like to sell. A message should appear in chat with some information and you can now choose how much you would like to sell the item for.

Remember that Diamonds are equal to $100 so you will want to price your shops based on that value. For example if I wanted to sell my item for 10 Diamonds per item, I would type in chat '1000'. There is no need to put the '$' sign in, it will do it automatically.

Once you have chosen the price, the chest shop will automatically be created and you can now put the items in the chest to be sold.

If you would like to change the price, or the amount that is being sold you can Right-Click the sign and change the 'Price' or the 'Amount per bulk'. This should be visible in a message that was sent to you in the chat.

**Please remember the 'Price' value is per bulk. Which means that if I changed the bulk to '4' I would then be selling 4 items for $1000.**

# Points of interest

A collection of builds and projects

The server has been around since late 2020 and in that time people have built many things. This is a resource for our players to contribute to and use to showcase some of the things that have been built on the server.&#x20;

If you have something you would like to be added here, check out the category that suits it best and fill out the form. The 'Builds' category is a catch all, so if you have something you'd like to submit that doesn't go in one of the other categories, send it through the 'Builds' category. The current categories aren't final and over time many more will be added but some examples of things to be made available here are: builds, towns, farms, warps, community projects etc

I expect that most POIs players send through will get added, I can't guarantee that everything will end up being added.

#### In-game

New features coming soon! (In-game /guide command and lecterns!)

#### Online maps

Each submission will have an icon on our online map. There aren't any icons at the moment because this is currently a work in progress but as we get more POIs submitted and posted, you'll start to see a bunch of icons.

# Public Farms

We have a lot of player-made farms on the server and this is a collection of all the farms that are available to use by the public. If a farm isn't listed here, you should assume that it is not for the public to use. You are not allowed to use people's private farms **(As this is a fairly new list and many established and well-known public farms will be missing for awhile, there will be some leeway on this until early to mid February 2026).**&#x20;

Each public farm will have it's own page and all the information you'll need about the farm. If you'd like to submit your own farm for public the to use, feel free to click the link to the Public Farm Submissions form at the bottom of this page.

#### General terms/etiquette for public farms

If you are taking resources from a farm it is expected that you actually use or run the farm as well. A lot of these farms take time to generate the resources, coming to a farm and looting everything without allowing them to replenish is a bit rude.

#### What about '/warp farms' and '/warp netherrooffarms'?&#x20;

The farms at these warps follow the same rules as all other farms to keep things consistent. They will need to be submitted to this list before they are allowed to be considered public farms.

The main difference is that if you are planning to build a new farm at either of these warps, it is expected that you will be making it available for the public to use, this is what these warps are intended for. A little while after a farm at these warps is finished it will automatically get listed here as a public farm regardless of if the owner submits it.

# Iron Farm

<p align="center">Iron Blocks :: Poppies</p>

A simple automated iron farm that spawns and kills iron golems, harvesting the iron ingots and poppies they drop on death. The farm crafts the iron ingots into iron blocks, and puts everything into chests.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -1591, 84, -300 :: /warp inn</p>

From the warp, enter the inn, take the stairs down to the tavern level, and go through to the main underground stairs off the brewing room. Follow these down until the junction after the trading hall, then turn right to follow the hallway under the waterfall.

#### How to use the farm

Any time a player is near the inn, the farm will be running. Anything in the collection chests in the hallway of the farm is free for anyone to take.

#### Constraints and Cautions

Players cannot physically access the farm as its structure and circuitry are encased, but they can view it working through the glass.

# Squid Farm

<p align="center">Ink Sacs</p>

A simple automated ink farm that spawns and kills squids to harvest ink sacs they drop on death. The farm occasionally spawns a drowned, so it might collect the odd rotten flesh by accident.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -1526, 46, -304 :: /warp inn</p>

From the warp, follow the verandah around the left of the building and down the stairs to the farms shortcut honey elevator. Drop down and go left to find the top of the ladder to the mine cart station. Take the black line to the farm.

#### How to use the farm

Any time a player is near the inn, the farm will be running. Anything in the collection chest or overflow storage barrels in the farm is free for anyone to take.

#### Constraints and Cautions

Players cannot physically access the farm as its structure and circuitry are encased, but they can view it working through the glass.

# Cave Spider Farm

<p align="center">Spider Eyes :: String</p>

A central area connects two cave spider spawners which will each flow spiders to side-by-side capture areas so that players may kill them.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -1726, -10, -328 :: /warp inn</p>

From the warp, follow the verandah around the left of the building and down the stairs to the farms shortcut honey elevator. Drop down and go left to find the top of the ladder to the mine cart station. Take the red line to the farm.

#### How to use the farm

Stand on the red part of the floor to ensure you stay in range of both spawners. Manually kill the spiders as they arrive in the nearby gaps, ideally with a looting-enchanted weapon. Anything in the collection chest or overflow storage barrels in the farm is free for anyone to take, in addition to anything you collect yourself.

#### Constraints and Cautions

Players cannot physically access any parts of the farm except the collection area, but they may view spiders coming in from one of the spawners through the glass. If you travel there by mine cart, be sure to return or remove the cart so it doesn't clog up the tracks for the next visitor. Be careful during operation; if you stand right up against either side, the spiders can still bite and poison you.

# Drowned Farm

<p align="center">Rotten Flesh :: Copper Ingots :: Tools :: Armour</p>

A central area connects three zombie spider spawners which will each flow zombies into a central collection area where they are drowned and then dropped from a height so that players may kill them.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -1574, -44, -386 :: /warp inn</p>

From the warp, follow the verandah around the left of the building and down the stairs to the farms shortcut honey elevator. Drop down and go left to find the top of the ladder to the mine cart station. Take the green line one stop to the farm.

#### How to use the farm

Stand on the green part of the floor to ensure you stay in range of all three spawners. Manually kill the drowned zombies as they arrive in the collection area, ideally with a looting-enchanted weapon. Anything in the collection chest or overflow storage in the farm is free for anyone to take, in addition to anything you collect yourself. If they drop any unwanted armour, the small autosmelter in the room can be used to smelt these into nuggets or ingots. Rotten flesh can be traded with the cleric in the inn for emeralds.

#### Constraints and Cautions

Players cannot physically access any parts of the farm except the collection area, but they may view zombies spawning through the glass. The collection chest may fill very quickly due to the spawn rate, so it is not suitable for long AFK sessions. If you travel there by mine cart, be sure to return or remove the cart so it doesn't clog up the tracks for the next visitor.

From the warp, follow the verandah around the left of the building and down the stairs to the farms shortcut honey elevator. Drop down and go left to find the top of the ladder to the mine cart station. Take the green line two stops to the farm.

#### How to use the farm

Anything in the collection barrel or overflow storage in the farm is free for anyone to take, in addition to anything you collect yourself. If they drop any unwanted armour, the small autosmelter in the room can be used to smelt these into nuggets or ingots.

# Amethyst Farm

<p align="center">Amethyst Crystal :: Amethyst Shard</p>

A geode has been cleared until only the budding amethyst blocks remain, and levels of boardwalks have been erected around it at various heights so that crystals growing from them may be mined easily.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -1515, 25, -394 :: /warp inn</p>

From the warp, follow the verandah around left on the outside of the building and down the stairs to the farms shortcut honey elevator. Drop down and turn right to follow through down the stairs to the fishing pier. Jump in the water and swim left to the deeper part of the river, where the farm will be visible in a glass enclosure.

#### How to use the farm

It is a manual farm. Simply mine the crystals with a normal pick to get shards, or a silk touch pick to get crystals, and pick them up. Any that fall while you are mining will follow the water flow to a barrel at the bottom of the ladder near the entrance.

#### Constraints and Cautions

Be careful to break only the crystals and not the blocks themselves. They do not drop, even if you mine them with silk touch, and will only reduce the farm for everyone else.

# Resin Farm

<p align="center">Resin Clumps</p>

A creaking heart spawns a creaking which the player can trap safely. Damaging the creaking will create resin clumps that will be automatically harvested.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -13596, 63, -7703 :: /warp farms</p>

From the warp, go right past the netherwart and wheat farms to near the sugar cane farm.

#### How to use the farm

Interact with the note block to push the creaking heart down in contact with the other logs. This will spawn a creaking. Open the six trapdoors in front of the farm and CAREFULLY guide the creaking into it. This is most easily done by setting your FOV to maximum, standing on the other side of the trap, and watching it move in your peripheral vision. Once trapped, go down the ladder and hit it as much as you can. Resin clumps will appear in the barrel beside you. Once you are done, hit the note block again to deactivate.

#### Constraints and Cautions

This farm only works at night. You MUST deactivate it after use, even if the creaking has despawned already, so that it won't spawn another the next night and surprise players coming to the farm area. Also if you spawn a creaking you MUST guide it into the trap area and not leave it roaming around to kill players.

Simply place a pickle on the coral block and pick up the multiple pickles that result. This may be done at high speed. If it stops working, the bone meal dispenser may need to be filled - you can get bone meal from the nearby farm left of the building.

#### Constraints and Cautions

Please do not take the last pickle from the chest, so the next person has one to start the cycle with.

# Dye Farm

<p align="center">Sunflowers :: Rose Bushes :: Lilacs :: Peonies</p>

A lever controls each of four chambers which can be activated to rapidly duplicate the tall flowers within. These can be turned into red, yellow, magenta and pink dyes.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -13740, 63, -7676 :: /warp farms</p>

From the warp, go left through the tunnel and go past the chicken farms. It is near the bone meal farm.

#### How to use the farm

Flick the switch above the flower you want, and place as many bone meal in the chest beside the lever as you would like flowers. Remember to turn the lever back off when you are done.

# Cactus Farm

<p align="center">Cactus</p>

A large automatic farm that collects cactus when players are nearby and sorts it into shulker boxes for players to collect.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -13544, 63, -7678 :: /warp farms</p>

From the warp, go right, past the nether wart farm towards the bamboo farm. Now turn right and walk down the stone pathway between the other farms until you reach the cactus farm, which you'll see on your right.

#### How to use the farm

The farm runs constantly while a player is nearby. You can AFK any where nearby (make sure to block yourself in). Place empty shulkers in the upper chest and collect shulkers of cactus from the bottom chest. These chests have been labelled with item frames.

#### Constraints and Cautions

The redstone lamp next to the chests flashes when the farm is running. If it stays on, the farm is jammed up, or the shulker chest is empty.

# Bamboo Farm

<p align="center">Bamboo :: Bamboo Blocks</p>

A large bamboo farm that uses flying machines to harvest. The bamboo is collected and sorted into chests as bamboo and bamboo blocks.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -13656, 63, -7692 :: /warp farms</p>

From the warp, go right and past the nether wart farm. The bamboo farm will be in front of you. Walk towards it and turn right, continue walking until you get to the storage chests for the farm on your left.

#### How to use the farm

Use the lever to turn the farm on and AFK nearby (make sure to block yourself in). Flying machines will harvest bamboo every few minutes. You can collect the bamboo and bamboo blocks from the chests.

#### Constraints and Cautions

You must turn the farm off before leaving the area otherwise the farm will break!

# Concrete Farm

<p align="center">Concrete Blocks</p>

A machine that uses TNT to quickly convert large amounts of concrete powder into concrete blocks.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Overworld :: -13694, 148, -7696 :: /warp farms</p>

From the warp, go right and then walk passed the nether wart farm towards the bamboo farm. Once you reach the bamboo farm turn around and you'll see a staircase. Walk up this staircase and turn right, you should see a bubble elevator (a column filled with water). Walk towards the elevator and walk inside, sending you up the elevator. Once you are at the top of the bubble elevator, walk through the door in front of you.

#### How to use the farm

Climb the ladder and fill the chests with concrete powder, or place shulkers of concrete powder on the hoppers behind the chests. Go down the ladder and use the lever behind you to turn the farm on. Stand at the location indicated by the signs, aiming your mouse at the yellow concrete block. Make sure to have concrete powder selected in your hand and hold right-click. For a faster result, use an r-click keybind, or an auto clicker.

When you are finished, turn the farm off and drop down the left side of the elevator to the white platform 25 blocks below. You can collect the concrete you converted from these chests.&#x20;

#### Constraints and Cautions

Double check you have turned the farm off when you leave, or it will blow up. This will also happen if the chunk is unloaded (e.g if the server is restarted) You are not allowed to AFK this farm overnight. On some clients, ghost blocks will be created above the water collection platform. These ghost blocks will not stop the farm from working, but you may lose up to 5% of blocks.

# Ghast Farm

<p align="center">Ghast Tears :: Gunpowder</p>

A large farm that spawns and kills ghasts. The ghast tears and gunpowder are collected and sorted into shulker boxes for the player to collect.

#### Location

<p align="center">Survival 2 Nether :: -1877, 128, -1232 :: /warp netherrooffarms</p>

From the warp, walk directly forward until you reach the ghast farm on your right.

#### How to use the farm

Make sure to place empty shulker boxes into the chests near the back of the item sorters for the gunpowder and ghast tear drops. Climb the scaffolding to get to the AFK spot. The farm will run automatically when you are in the AFK spot. Once you are done go back down the scaffolding and collect the shulkers of ghast tears and gunpowder from the chests.

#### Constraints and Cautions

The farm will not run properly if you aren't standing in the AFK spot. The farm also won't work properly if another player is nearby and not in the AFK spot.&#x20;

# Update Video Submissions

{% embed url="<https://forms.gle/DEEXgLvHhsoLuM6UA>" %}

# Feedback submissions

This is an optional form to allow players to submit feedback for the server. This feedback doesn't have any specific topic requirements and will be used to get a better overall understanding of how players are feeling about the server while also being used to influence what needs to be prioritised. There are no requirements for the feedback submissions and you are welcome to send in anonymous feedback.

For two weeks at the start of each quarter a form will be opened where you can submit your feedback. After the form has closed all the submissions will be organised and sorted. Roughly two weeks after the form closes, a feedback summary page with responses and discussion will be posted onto the wiki.

You can view the most recent feedback summary page at the link below.

**"When will we be able to get multi-coloured nicknames?"**

I'll start working on this. Feel free to yell at me in the Discord if you can't see that I am making progress on it in the changelogs-for-nerds text channel over the next 2 weeks.

**"It can be difficult to find available plots in the shopping world. There are many that are taken by players who haven't been active in years, with most of the items they are selling being out of stock.**

**Would it be possible to remove old shops from inactive players to make way for new shops from players who are active?"**

This is a bit of a re-occurring problem in the shopping world that's largely caused by the expectation of the server being a long-term/permanent style of server. I think a good middle-ground would be to move shops that are very inactive and have a large amount of out of stock items elsewhere to make room for newer, more active shops.

***

**"Re-enable wither griefing in the resource world because it can be useful for some types of farms."**

I'd like to enable this. It would have to be in the resource world only. Obviously because we are talking about withers, my biggest concern is accidentally breaking something and not realising until there is a significant amount of damage when I implement the per world wither griefing toggle.

***

**"Keep lunge swapping (attribute swapping) enabled. It's a useful movement mechanic for players (e.g when trying to escape danger) and it isn't fully game-breaking."**

I don't like this mechanic at all. With the typical play style on the server I also don't think it makes sense to support either. I also disagree that it isn't game-breaking, the lunge cooldown exists for a reason bypassing it so you can avoid mobs of all things is silly. Mojang are clearly interested in removing it too. The server has had it disabled for awhile and re-enabling it at this point seems redundant with it likely being patched out completely by Mojang soon.

Side note. To me this mechanic looks like one that usually requires some sort of external mod or macro to consistently do in realistic situations. I am really not a fan of this sort of stuff (e.g macros/mods/clients that let you auto swap between chest plate and Elytra etc). So I will not be enabling it.

# April 2026

**"Add PVP"**

I'm not interested in re-adding a PVP toggle. I don't believe it fits the server and do not want to deal with the issues that come from it.

**"If it's possible, I suggest that shadows should be disabled for the overworld online maps.**\
\
**During a large build shadows under the build only update when there is a block update in that region. The result is ugly, blotchy, black rectangles that remain until the next complete map rebuild. Even in cases where the shadows are 'correct', they look much darker than the in-game shadows, and often hide parts of the build that would be better if they were visible."**

I did some testing with the shadow settings on the online maps on both a test server and with the shopping world maps to hopefully try and figure out if there's a way to fix these weird rendering quirks/bugs. Unfortunately it was fairly unsuccessful.

I found that when overworlds have their shadows completely removed they look very strange (you may have briefly seen it on the 3D shopping world map). It does fix the shadow rendering issues but unfortunately overall it looks pretty bad. Dynmap does have functionality to change how intense the shadows are, but for whatever reason this does not work at all. It's either full shadows or no shadows and I can't figure out why.

I also did some testing with 'Chunky', a path tracing renderer that can replace the default Dynmap renderer. The output of this renderer was incredible, but it is not a viable option to use on the server (for now\...) because it takes about 30 times longer to render (with some bugs).

Broken shadows (and if you look closely, inconsistent ocean rendering) are a fairly big problem across the online maps. As mentioned in the feedback message, doing full world re-renders isn't feasible with how long they take (again, for now\...). Currently the best solution to fix these issues is for players to continue requesting re-renders of specific areas, you can message in either '#general', '#help', a ticket or just ask if you catch me online on the server. To speed this up, I'm going to work on adding a command that allows players to make this request directly in-game so that it adds it to a queue and does it automatically. Until then feel free to continue asking if you'd like areas to be re-rendered.

The players who have opted to receive the 'Changelogs for nerds' role may have noticed that I have decided to fork Dynmap as part of updating it to 26.1. I've chosen to do this because I'd like to make significant changes to the plugin, likely breaking lots of functionality that isn't relevant to the server. If seeing development messages for this or other server related things is something that interests you, I recommend getting the 'Changelogs for nerds' role in the '#roles' channel of the Discord Server.

# December 2025

**"The wiki has some useful information for players but there's a lot missing, especially in-game. This means that a significant amount of important information is only known and shared by the community. This makes it quite difficult for players, especially new players. We all operate on the rules saying touch nothing, take nothing, but in reality once you've been on the server a while there are a lot of accepted exceptions.**

**The server would benefit greatly from more information being made available on the wiki and in-game through signs, map arts etc. Organising a team/group of people that can work on things like this might be useful."**

The server is absolutely long overdue for an improvement in this area. The wiki, which is generally the most up to date, is still fairly outdated and lacking content, everywhere else is much worse.

There haven't been enough improvements since this was submitted either. There is now a 'Public Farms' directory but this is still far from where I want it to be in both content and functionality (hint: there is no functionality), and because it's so far from where it needs to be, I can't reasonably or fairly enforce the Public vs Private rule change either. This one in particular was rushed out first because the Public vs Private farm issue is a fairly big issue in in itself but it highlights a bigger issue, which was mentioned fairly perfectly in this submission "*We all operate on the rules saying touch nothing, take nothing, but in reality once you've been on the server a while there are a lot of accepted exceptions*".

Everyone joins the server with ***mostly*** the same expectations and understanding of the rules. But when you get hit with word of mouth information, that is 8 layers deep, and through no fault of the community, could have been incorrect from the beginning, you run into the issue where it gets extremely confusing to understand what is expected of players on the server. When a player hears that they can do 'x' thing at 'y' place on the server, even though technically it would be against the rules, a common and easy next step is assuming that they might be able to do the very same thing somewhere else, but that place happens to follow the written rule, so it's actually not allowed. Having inconsistencies like this is going to be expected on a server where there is a lot of collaboration over many years but when there are no tools for players to document and share these things, it simply falls apart. The lack of good information available on the server has significantly eroded the meaning of the rules for players, this isn't a new issue either, it's been around since before Survival 2 was created.

I'd like to add a variety of tools that allow players to add information/documentation related things to various parts of the server. I don't believe I'll go the route of assigning this to a specific group/team though, I'd like it to be something where anyone can request an addition or change and it can be approved, requested to be altered or denied with the ability for future players to continue to request changes or improve it later on. I'm gonna have to make some sort of style guide to try and keep some consistency as well. There's a lot of tools out there that let people collaborate easier and I'll be taking inspiration from them when making this. I've got a much better idea of how I want it to work than I did a couple of months ago but it's still going to be a challenge to get the right balance of user functionality, ease of use, automation and information. It's also not going to be something that can be done quickly, so for now the Google Form way will have to do while I work to add all the pieces needed in the background.

#### Extra

While we're on the topic of information. I've been working on a bunch of boring behind the scenes stuff that has piled up over time. Should've done it earlier but I've been making decent progress. I'm hoping I will get through most of the boring stuff and get to the more interesting things that are actually visible by the time of the next feedback form on the 1st of April.

# October 2025

**"Add better guides in-game on how things work on the server, what is available and other features that new players would benefit from knowing about."**

The server is definitely in need of some new documentation for players. The upcoming Visitor's Guide will be a great addition but there needs to be some more improvements in-game particularly around spawn and with the '/help' command.

I'm thinking that something along the lines of a redo of the '/help' command would be a good solution for this. Adding categories to the command would be pretty helpful. An example of a potential category could be '/help warps' and this category could have more info including the types of warps we have on the server, where to access the warps and how to request a warp etc.

**"Adding a parkour competition as one of the server events. Parkour tracks could be based around builds in the SMP."**

I like this idea and making the courses around existing builds on the server sounds pretty cool. I'll be adding this to the list of event types the server will run.

**"Adding a place to share pictures or videos of builds. This could be done through a form to prevent issues."**

I've realised I am a fool and was approaching the approval/disapproval bot for images sent in the Discord wrong.

A slight side note, I am planning on adding something that allows players to send server related social media videos to a channel on the Discord, part of this would be done through a player including a link to an *externally hosted* video (like YouTube) because people would probably prefer that and so I don't need to store videos on my own servers. This was part of my original concept for the livestreams as players are allowed to use clips from these livestreams in their content (hopefully in the future even include the livestream perspective during their own livestreams) and having a place where they can post links to this stuff is probably something people would be interested in.

Now what does this have to do with players sharing pictures/videos of their builds? Part of the reason I scrapped the approval/disapproval image bot was because the images sent in by players were going to be at a minimum stored temporarily on my bots server, which I wasn't a fan of. But I now realise I never had to store the images I could just do it through links like I'm planning to do for videos for this other feature.

So the approval/disapproval image/video bot is now back on the to do list because similar to videos being hosted somewhere else, images can also just be links to Imgur or other image posting platforms.

For how players will interact with it, I'm currently leaning more towards a Discord slash command over a form. This is mainly because I expect players would rather just use a command than open up a form in their browser. But I am open to keeping the discussion going and hearing more about how everyone would like to see this implemented.

**"Make a booster rank in Discord. You could give this rank the '/heads' command."**

I discourage players from boosting the Discord server because the server doesn't actually gain anything from it. You're much better off boosting other servers than this one.

Because of this I don't think making a booster rank would be a good idea.

More on the '/heads' command and decorative heads in the next discussion point.

**"Allow players to get decorative heads from wandering traders."**

The decorative heads and '/heads' command are a Supporter Rank feature and making changes to the server that give players without the Supporter Rank this feature feels a bit unfair to the players who purchased it.

The server has moved away from having a store which means players are unable to get the Supporter Rank but I am not going to give broader access to the decorative heads because the precedent was set that it is a Supporter Rank feature.

# September 2025

**"Making decorative head blocks available to players. Potentially having them for sale in the shopping world."**

Currently decorative head blocks are only available to players with the Supporter rank. Players are also not allowed to sell player heads in the shopping world. This is to prevent players from gaining an economic advantage from having access to the '/heads' command.

Making the decorative heads available to more players is a bit tricky because it has already been established as a benefit of the Supporter Rank and it feels like it would be slightly unfair to start giving access to more players who don't have the Supporter Rank, even in the current situation where our store is down. I am open to ideas though!

# July 2025

**"More community gathering areas around spawn, including events."**

Shortly after seeing this I started to work on writing up the Spawn theme guidelines. This was to both encourage players to build at spawn by giving some sort direction while also focusing player builds so that spawn doesn't devolve into chaos.

The skyscraper area or "Megacity" District was already established as an area for players to build their skyscrapers after the build competition in the area finished, but it wasn't officially written anywhere. Hopefully these guidelines help players have a better idea of what to build near spawn.

As for events around spawn. There is an upcoming plan for a build competition being worked on. While the competition will be held in the creative world, the winning build will be getting built in Survival 2 near spawn. You may have noticed some cobble being used to mark out an area within the "Farming" District at spawn, -487, 64, -125. This will be the area where the winning build will be located. The theme for this build competition has been chosen and the current plan is for it to happen sometime during September. More information will be posted in the announcements channel on our Discord server.

# Land Claiming

Information about land claiming

This section is about the land-claiming that all players can do, specifically not the Supporter Rank region claims. More information about that is in the Supporter Rank section of this wiki.

Land-claiming is optional and you will still be protected from griefing/stealing even if you do not claim your land. But if you would like the added piece of mind from claiming your land and ensuring no one can grief it, you will find the following section quite useful.

### Getting claim blocks

There are two ways to get claim blocks, by playing on the server and by voting. For every hour that you play on the server you will get 360 claim blocks. You can also spend your vote points in the vote shop to get more claim blocks.

### Claiming land

Firstly you will need somewhere that you will like to claim, and a golden shovel.

Once you have a golden shovel you will need to hold the golden shovel (and potentially type '/claimtool' to enable it) and then Right-Click the the starting corner of the area you would like to claim. Next you will need to Right-Click the next corner and the area within those two corners will be the area that you claimed.

### Deleting your claim

If you would like to detele your claim you will need to stand inside the claim and type '/abandon' and then confirm it by typing '/gd confirm'. It will not work if you click the confirm button.

### Trusting other players to your claims

You can trust other players in your claims by using the '/trust' command while standing in the claim area.

### Giving other players claim blocks

If you would like to give another player some of your claim blocks you can use the command '/gd player transferblocks **playername** *amount*'. Once you have typed that command it will ask you to confirm it, you must type '/gd confirm' once again instead of clicking the '\[Confirm]' button.

Example: '/gd player transferblocks Steve 100'

### Maliciously claiming land&#x20;

If you are found to have claimed land with bad intentions (including claiming over someones already existing build), the claim will be deleted, you will lose the claim blocks that you used for the claim and you may potentially be banned depending on the severity.

# Online Map

There is an online map for most of the worlds on the server. You can access these maps in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc). These online maps are constantly being automatically updated. You will also be able to see where players are when they are online.

# Automated Spectator Livestreams

Share your creations live!

One of the unique features of our server is the Automated Livestreams. This allows players to share what they are doing on the server live on Twitch and Youtube. When a player has given permission to be spectated, they will be added to a list of potential players to be featured on stream. The AusGG account randomly selects a player from this list every few minutes and then follows them from a 3rd person perspective similar to the camera view in ARPGs like Titan Quest, Diablo, Path of Exile etc.

The software that runs these streams is still being actively worked on, so there are still many features that are planned. Currently the streams only run on specific days for roughly 6 hours at a time but there are plans to have them running 24/7 in the future. If you have any suggestions for features you think would be cool feel free to post them in the Suggestions forum on our Discord.

# Discord

Information about the Discord server.

{% embed url="<https://discord.gg/3FCWmJr>" %}
Click here to join the Discord!
{% endembed %}

Once you have joined the Discord you'll notice that there are not many text-channels within the server. This is because your account must be approved to use a majority of the features of the Discord.

While you are filling out the AussieSMP Application form you have the opportunity to send in your Discord ID + # if you did not do this, you will need to do some extra steps to get your Discord account approved.

If you are whitelisted on AussieSMP you can message the 'AusGG Mail Bot' your username and eventually you will manually get given the role that gives you access to the AussieSMP related channels.

# Reporting rule-breakers

How to snitch on your mates

Occasionally there will be people that choose to not follow the rules of the server, to assist with keeping the server civil, you can do the following.

Please submit the report in the #help by selecting the Reports button and filling in the details.

The information that can be sent in with the report is:

* What you would like to report?
* Where did it happen?
* Who you are reporting (optional)
* Any other information that you feel is important for context such as the time it happened. (optional but recommended)

Once you have submitted the report eventually someone will see it and either deal with it, or get in contact with you for more information. Please do not retailiate or cause chaos on the server because of the rule-breaker, it makes the situation worse.

It is really important to not speculate when reporting someone as it can make the entire situation a lot more complicated than it needs to be.

# LODs

The server has it's view distance set to 24. Many people (including me) think Minecraft looks a lot better when you can have your view distance set much further than this. There are a few mods that allow players to generate LODs so they can see much further. Unfortunately there won't be any world downloads made available and it's unlikely that any of these mods or plugins will be getting added to the server directly, so that leaves players having to manually explore the world to generate their LODs.

That's annoying. So here are the download links to already generated LODs, they'll get updated and fully regenerated occasionally. Each link is labelled with the date it was generated and the version the of the mod. Just a warning, the .zip files are quite large, it'll probably take quite a while to download them all.

## Distant Horizons

Coming soon!

# Voxy

### P**rerequisites**

* Location of your '.minecraft' folder and the '.voxy' folder within it. This changes between operating systems and sometimes the '.voxy' folder is a hidden folder within the '.minecraft' folder.
* You have joined the server with Voxy installed at least once.
* The zip files containing the pre-generated LODs for each of the worlds you are interested in.
* The correct version of Voxy for the LODs you have downloaded. This guide is written assuming you are using Voxy 0.2.15. Other versions might require a slightly different approach.

### Setting up your Voxy LODs for our server

Within your '.voxy' folder you'll see a saves folder and then a folder specifically for our server. It will likely be named as the IP you use to connect to the server, 'mc.aus.gg', 'aussiesmp.com', 'aussiesb.com' etc. Inside you'll then see a 'config.json' and probably a bunch of folders with seemingly random UUIDs. At this point in time I am unsure if these are consistent between peoples computers, so I'd appreciate it if people could let me know what UUIDs they got for each of the worlds in the Discord server (fingers crossed everything stays consistent except for the resource world when it is reset).

Until then I'll run you through the process of how I figured out where each of the worlds were and how to put your LODs into their folders correctly.

1. Log out of the server (preferably taking note of the world you are in before doing this) and delete all the folders in the folder that Voxy creates for the server. You can keep your game open. Do not delete the 'config.json'.
2. Log back into the server. Voxy will create a new folder. This folder will have a UUID as its name. Take note of the name of this folder and the world you are in, either in a text file or you can write it down somewhere.
3. Teleport to the next world, once again taking note of the name of new folder it creates and which world you are in.
4. Repeat this process for all the worlds you'd like to use the pre-generated LODs for. You should have a big list of UUID names and which world they are.
5. Log out of the server. You can keep your game open.
6. Open each of the folders of the worlds and delete **everything** inside their 'storage' folder. Make sure to not delete the folder itself.
7. You can now copy everything in the zip files into their respective world storage folder.

### Troubleshooting

* **"I copied all the LODs in and when I try and log into the server my game gets stuck on a saving world screen"** - I found this happens when I didn't delete everything within the world folder as stated in Step 6. There are a couple of files that Voxy will generate that seem to connect everything up as you load into the world, if Voxy can't generate these files because they already exist or something is missing, it breaks and prevents you from logging in.
* ***If you run into other issues, send them in the LOD downloads thread in the suggestions channel on the Discord server. We'll try and figure it out and I'll add them here.***
